The Philosophy section's goal is to allow a place to express the values, mores, questions, and issues that undoubtedly rise up when people begin to think for themselves and give voice to that opinion. Feminist philosophy is relatively young, but the idea behind philosophy is to answer the questions that are relevant to all human beings. Questions such as our gender, our existence, our reason for being, our role in society can here be brought to light in a supportive and thoughtful atmosphere. Readers are asked to come on the journey as we search for truth, or knowledge or enlightenment, or simply explore our own feelings without drawing any conclusions or making any judgments. We are more than just mind and body. We are spirit. And our spirits long for expression. Maybe a Philosophy section in a forward-thinking magazine such as this one will bring uscloser to a realization or revelation or bring hope or promise, something so many of us lose sight of or forget to seek out. Now isCharity Tooze the time to come and express ourselves. Far too long we have lain dormant. Come, let us use our new voices!
