SMC PARKING
|
Students who drive to SMC may park on the main campus, one of the satellite campuses, or the Olympic Shuttle Lot. Visitor parking is available in Lot 6—located at 14th and Pico—for $10 a day (with no in-and-out privileges), unless prior arrangements have been made through Campus Police. Students heading to the main campus, AET, or the Bundy campus are encouraged to park at SMC’s FREE Olympic Shuttle Lot—located at Olympic and Stewart—and take the Mini-Blue Sunset Ride (Line 6).
Street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods is restricted on most weekdays and evenings. Campus parking decals are NOT VALID AT ANY TIME on neighborhood streets. PLEASE BE COURTEOUS TO OUR NEIGHBORS at all times by keeping the volume of your sound system, conversations, and other noise to a minimum.
An important caution: Because car alarms are disruptive to other students and our neighbors, cars with activated alarms in the SMC parking areas will be TOWED IMMEDIATELY at YOUR expense.
MAIN CAMPUS PARKING
Student decals for parking on SMC’s main campus cost $85 for the Fall or Spring semester, and $45 for the Summer or Winter session. Parking decals for the main campus can be purchased online through Corsair Connect, or in person at the Bursar’s Office.
Daily parking is also available at the 14th and Pico lot for $10 a day, with no in-and-out privileges.
VISITOR PARKING
Visitor parking for SMC’s main campus is located at 14th and Pico. Parking costs $10 a day unless prior arrangements have been made through Campus Police.
HANDICAP PARKING
If you are an enrolled student, the display of a DMV handicap placard (or plate) AND an SMC parking decal entitles you to park in any handicap, student, or staff parking space.
OLYMPIC SHUTTLE LOT FREE PARKING
FREE parking for students and staff is available at SMC’s Olympic Shuttle Lot—located at Olympic Boulevard and Stewart Street in Santa Monica—with FREE shuttle service on the Mini-Blue Sunset Ride to the main campus, AET, and Bundy campus. A free decal—available online through Corsair Connect, or in person at the AET campus during the first two weeks of the academic term—is required to park in the Olympic Shuttle Lot Monday through Thursday, from 7 am to 10 pm, and Friday from 7 am to 1 pm. Current SMC I.D. is required to ride any Big Blue Bus for free.

SATELLITE CAMPUSES FREE PARKING
A satellite campus parking decal is required for any vehicle parked on any of the SMC satellite campuses or at the Olympic Shuttle Lot on Monday through Thursday, from 7 am to 10 pm, and on Friday, from 7 am to 1 pm.
If you have purchased a parking decal for the SMC main campus, you may also park at any satellite campus or the Olympic Shuttle Lot. Otherwise, you will need to obtain and display a FREE satellite campus parking decal, available online through Corsair Connect, or in person at each satellite campus.
Park FREE at the Bundy campus with a satellite parking decal. The parking entrance is at 3171 S. Bundy Drive (at College Drive), south of the Santa Monica Freeway, and just south of Airport Avenue. The Mini-Blue Sunset Ride runs every 25 to 30 minutes during the day.
INTERCAMPUS TRANSIT TO SMC MAIN CAMPUS: FREE intercampus transit buses operate daily between SMC’s main campus and the Bundy campus. During the day, the Mini-Blue Sunset Ride runs every 25 to 30 minutes. During the Fall and Spring semesters, an SMC Intercampus Shuttle runs in the evening from 5:30 pm to 10:10 pm.
Note: To use the SMC intercampus transit bus, students must be enrolled in classes or using the services at the Bundy campus. Students and staff must also show current SMC I.D. to ride the transit bus for free.
ADDITIONAL PUBLIC TRANSIT CONNECTING BUNDY CAMPUS AND SMC MAIN CAMPUS: The Big Blue Bus operates Line 14 on Bundy Drive, with a stop near the Bundy campus. This line connects on Pico Boulevard to Line 7, which stops at SMC’s main campus. PLEASE NOTE: Line 14 stops running at approximately 8:45 pm.
AIRPORT ARTS CAMPUS PARKING
Park FREE at the Airport Arts campus with a satellite parking decal. The parking entrance is at 2800 Airport Avenue.
The Airport Arts campus is within walking distance of the Bundy campus, which has intercampus transit connections to the SMC main campus. See Bundy campus parking information for details.
ACADEMY OF ENTERTAINMENT & TECHNOLOGY (AET) PARKING
Park FREE at the Academy of Entertainment & Technology with a satellite parking decal. The parking entrance is at 1660 Stewart Street.
INTERCAMPUS TRANSIT CONNECTING SMC MAIN CAMPUS AND AET: A free intercampus Mini-Blue Sunset Ride operates daily every 25 to 30 minutes, connecting SMC’s main campus and AET. This bus also stops at the Olympic Shuttle Lot on its way to the main campus. Students and staff must show current SMC I.D. to ride the shuttle bus for free.
PERFORMING ARTS CENTER PARKING
Park FREE at the SMC Performing Arts Center with a satellite parking decal. The parking entrance is at 1310 11th Street, or just off Santa Monica Boulevard, between 10th and 11th streets.
INTERCAMPUS TRANSIT TO SMC MAIN CAMPUS: A free SMC intercampus transit bus operates Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:40 pm, connecting SMC’s main campus and the SMC Performing Arts Center. The shuttle runs every 15 to 20 minutes. The main campus shuttle stop is located at on Pico Boulevard, in front of Parking Structure 4.
DECALS
Please display all decals in the front windshield, lower driver’s side corner, above the vehicle identification number (VIN). If a decal is not visible, you will be subject to a parking citation.
