Andrew Tonkovich is a graduate of the MFA Creative Writing Program at UC Irvine and a former Santa Monica College student of writer Jim Krusoe. His short stories, essays and commentaries have appeared widely. He teaches Composition at UC Irvine, where he is the president of the union representing Lecturers and Librarians. As "The Bibliofella," he blogs on books every Sunday morning at the OC Weekly: Tonkovich is a staff participant at the annual summer Community of Writers at Squaw Valley and hosts a weekly Wednesday night literary arts program on Pacifica Radio KPFK 90.7 FM in Southern California. Jim Krusoe is the author of five books of poetry, the short story collection Blood Lake, and the novels Iceland, Girl Factory, Erased, Toward You and Parsifal.

He is the recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Lila Wallace Reader's Digest Fund.

Jim Krusoe teaches creative writing at Antioch University and Santa Monica College.
