Below are excepts from emails sent to us by people who either participated in the Manzanar project or attended a concert.
Dear Madison Project:
I want to thank you, and the entire Manzanar Youth Choir staff, for the experience of being part of "Manzanar: An American Story." As a life time West Coast resident -- first in Washington, and for the last nearly 30 years in California, I never fully grasped the impact of the internment even though it impacted lives all around me. Our trip to Manzanar, the curiosity it sparked, Naomi's haunting refrain and the eloquent story told through the finished, staged work have all informed my, and my family's understanding of the fluctuating boundaries of freedom.
Thank you, again, for all your hard work in focusing and instructing the choir and integrating them into the final piece.
Warm regards,
Lynn Robb

Dear Madison Project,
I wanted to express to you how much my husband and I enjoyed the concert last night. It was powerful and moving. I also wanted to express our gratitude to you for inviting my son to be a part of this amazing experience. He learned much about many things. And, what an experience! Moreover, the whole process was made pleasant, fun and enjoyable for him thanks to the efforts of all of you at the Madison Project who were involved in the Youth Choir. I hope Jared has the chance to work with all of you again on some future project. Please keep him in mind.

Anthony and Adam,
Nathan and I want to thank you both for providing him with such a wonderful experience with the Manzanar Project. Everyone connected with the choir was absolutely a pleasure and joy to work with and I think he will remember the whole experience with great fondness the rest of his life. The performance last night was spectacular! We hope you were as pleased with the results as we were.
Take care and all the best,
Susan and Nathan Ben-Yehuda
