One of my personal favorites, this is a unique work that Guy Ottewell has produced for the last twenty years and it bears his indelible character. A large format (11" x 15") softcover with full sky charts for each month along with the most amazing "3D" diagrams that succeed (as most others do not) in letting you see the spatial relationships of eclipses, planetary or comet orbits, meteor showers, etc. Ottewell's Astronomical Calendar also includes much of the culture and folklore of skywatching through the ages. Where else can you find, as in the Astro. Cal. of several years ago, all of the verses to "The Astronomer's Drinking Song?"
